Game Story

MELBOURNE, Florida (Ticker) -- John Thomson fired five 
scoreless innings and Andruw Jones homered, leading the Atlanta
Braves to a 6-0 victory over the Montreal Expos.

One of the new additions to Atlanta's staff, Thomson gave up
three hits while walking two and striking out three.  He
combined with four relievers on a six-hitter.

Jones was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.  His solo
homer off Tomo Ohka in the fourth made it 5-0.

Jesse Garcia also doubled and homered for the Braves.

Ohka took the loss after allowing five runs and eight hits in
six innings.  He walked one and struck out five.
