Game Story
MELBOURNE, Florida (Ticker) -- Henry Mateo had three hits,
including a solo homer, to lead the Montreal Expos past the
Detroit Tigers, 3-2, in a Grapefruit League matchup.
Mateo homered off Jeremy Bonderman in the first to help Montreal
jump to a 3-0 lead after six innings. Orlando Cabrera added
two hits and scored a run.
Sun-Woo Kim had an impressive start for the Expos, tossing six
scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and struck out five.
Rocky Biddle earned the save by working two scoreless innings as
Montreal improved to 17-9 this spring.
Carlos Pena homered and Carlos Guillen had two hits and scored a
run for the Tigers. Bonderman allowed all three of the Expos'
runs in his five innings. |
