Game Story
KISSIMMEE, Florida (Ticker) -- Shawn Hill allowed five hits in
five scoreless innings as the Montreal Expos edged the Houston
Astros, 2-1, in Grapefruit League play.
Hill also went 2-for-2 off Roy Oswalt. He led off the third with
a double and scored Houston's first run on Jose Vidro's RBI
single, then singled in Brad Wilkerson in the fourth.
Oswalt surrendered two runs and eight hits in five innings with
no walks and six strikeouts.
David Maust pitched out of a first-and-second jam in the ninth
to record his second save of the spring. Maust caught Ryan
Thompson's line drive up the middle for the final out as the
Expos improved their major league-best spring mark to 15-7.
Thompson accounted for the Astros' only run with a solo home run
off Mike Johnson in the eighth. |
