Game Story
MELBOURNE, Florida (Ticker) -- Tomo Ohka allowed one run in six
innings and Peter Bergeron had three hits and scored twice as
the Montreal Expos edged the Baltimore Orioles, 3-2, in a
Grapefruit League game.
Ohka gave up four hits and struck out five without issuing a
walk for his second win in three decisions this spring. Luis
Ayala threw 16 pitches in a perfect ninth inning for the save.
Bergeron led off the bottom of the first inning with a double
off Kurt Ainsworth, moved to third on a groundout and scored on
Joe Vitiello's double.
Bergeron led off the fifth with a single and Jose Vidro
followed with an RBI double to give the Expos a 2-1 edge.
Ainsworth was reached for two runs and eight hits in five
innings.
Luis Lopez had two hits and drove in both runs for Baltimore. |
