FT. LAUDERDALE, Florida (Ticker) -- Sun Woo Kim and Seung Jun
Song combined to pitch eight scoreless innings to lead a split
squad of Montreal Expos to a 3-0 victory over the Baltimore
Orioles in a Grapefruit League game.
The Expos acquired both Korean pitchers from the Boston Red Sox
in July 2002 in a trade for Cliff Floyd. Kim earned his first
win of the spring, allowing just two hits in five innings. Song
yielded three hits in three innings.
Randy Choate worked the ninth to complete the shutout.
Rookie Terrmel Sledge doubled home a run and scored on a single
by Joe Vitiello in the first inning. Juan Rivera added an RBI
single in the third for Montreal.
Eric DuBose, who is slated to be in Baltimore's starting
rotation, pitched five innings and allowed three runs and six
hits.
