Game Story
MELBOURNE, Florida (Ticker) -- Kyle Denney allowed one run and
two hits in three innings as the Cleveland Indians edged the
Montreal Expos, 4-3, in a Grapefruit League battle of split
squads.
Denney recorded his first win of the spring, retiring 11 of the
13 batters he faced. He walked two and struck out none.
The Indians scored all four runs in the fourth on RBI singles by
Ricky Gutierrez and Choy Foo and a two-run single by John
McDonald.
Expos starter Sun-Woo Kim took his second loss, yielding three
runs and four hits in 3 1/3 innings.
Orlando Cabrera and Nick Johnson had two hits apiece for the
Expos. |
