Game Story
LAKELAND, Florida (Ticker) -- Luis Lopez hit a three-run homer
and drove in four runs and Joe Vitiello homered and drove in
three as the Montreal Expos posted a 13-6 triumph over the
Detroit Tigers in a Grapefruit League matchup of split squads.
Ron Calloway had three hits and scored three times and Termel
Sledge, hoping to make the team as an outfielder, had two hits
and scored a run.
Seung Song started for Montreal and was hit hard, surrendering
five runs and five hits in three innings.
Dmitri Young had a two-run homer in the opening inning for
Detroit, which had 11 hits.
Tigers starter Nate Cornejo was hammered, allowing seven runs
and five hits in 2 1/3 innings. Franklyn German did throw a
hitless inning in relief. |
