Game Story
JUPITER, Florida (Ticker) -- Josh Beckett pitched four
scoreless innings and Abraham Nunez hit two home runs to power
the Florida Marlins to an 8-1 Grapefruit League victory over the
Montreal Expos.
Beckett, the 2003 World Series Most Valuable Player, gave up two
hits, walked one and struck out one in his second appearance of
the spring.
Nunez hit solo home runs in the third and fifth innings off
Seung Song. He also walked with the bases loaded in Florida's
three-run eighth inning.
Expos starter Sun-Woo Kim took the loss after allowing one run
and one hit with three walks and one strikeout in two innings.
Former Expo Wil Cordero had two of Florida's 11 hits. |
