Game Story
MONTREAL (Ticker) -- Randy Wolf tossed a four-hitter for his
seventh career shutout and doubled and homered, leading the
Philadelphia Phillies to a 7-0 victory over the lowly Montreal
Expos.
Wolf threw only 109 pitches, walking one and striking out three
for his 11th complete game in six major league seasons. He also
hit a solo homer in the seventh inning to make it 6-0 and
capped the scoring with an RBI double in the ninth.
The Phillies totaled 17 hits, three each by Marlon Byrd, Ricky
Ledee and Todd Pratt. Wolf was the only player with multiple
RBI.
Philadelphia is 5-0 against the Expos this season and 2-9 vs.
the rest of the National League.
The Expos extended the worst start in franchise history to 4-14.
Tomo Ohka (0-4) became the first four-game loser in the National
League, allowing five runs and 13 hits with three walks and
three strikeouts in six innings
